Homeowner removed unpermitted pool; commission approves administrative remediation plan

The commission reviewed a violation issued for an unpermitted pool and patio installed within an Upland Review Area at 295 Fan Hill Road. The homeowners had already removed the pool prior to the meeting and offered to implement a staff-suggested remediation plan involving native shrub and tree plantings.
Andrew Brotman presented a remediation plan that included native shrub and tree species and a conservation seeding area. The homeowner's representative said the pool had been removed and the property owner was willing to plant the trees and shrubs specified in the staff plan. "He removed the pool and planted grass...he can also remove the patio if you require us to do that," the homeowner's representative said.
Commissioner (S3) moved to remediate IWV-2026-01 (file 1569) administratively; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff will issue an agent-approved remediation with wetland markers and site inspections, and the homeowner must comply with the plantings and conditions outlined in the staff plan.
