The Village Board moved the updated utility ordinance, including water and sewer schedules, to Attorney Wood for final edits after staff confirmed tariff language with Johnson Block and Delta 3. President Robert McLimans said the new tariff contains a "water lateral installation charge" that allows recovery of actual lateral installation costs when they are not otherwise paid by a developer.
Clerk Shawna Atterbury told trustees the draft sewer schedule listed a fixed quarterly charge of $36 while the village currently charges $61.58, and listed a volume charge of $3.60 per thousand gallons while the village charges $6.73. "The fixed cost per quarter was listed at $36 while the village charges $61.58," Atterbury said, and McLimans agreed to contact Mr. Hoppman at Delta 3 for verification. The board voted to forward the ordinance once the schedules were verified.
The motion passed unanimously; McLimans and Clerk Atterbury agreed to call Mr. Hoppman together to reconcile the rates before Attorney Wood finalizes the ordinance.
