Krissy Custer joined the meeting by phone seeking a land-use permit and utility service for 109 State Highway 35. She told the board the building shell needs bathroom upgrades — including a half bath in Suite B and a full bath in the lower level — to support subletting of multiple commercial suites; the board approved the permit for those repairs.
The board also approved supplying water and sewer to Lots 2 and 3 but stipulated the services be for future commercial use only. Leitzinger raised concerns that an automotive use on Lot 2 could contaminate the sewer system if automotive chemicals entered drains near the wastewater plant, and McLimans said placing a tiny house next to the wastewater treatment plant on Lot 3 would be inappropriate; all board members agreed they would not approve a tiny house. Krissy agreed to proceed with commercial-only installations and a licensed plumber will perform the work.
