Bonduel board enforces 2017 agreement, orders utilities connected at 107 E Green Bay Street

The Village of Bonduel Village Board voted Oct. 22 to enforce a 2017 agreement requiring utility services be installed at 107 E Green Bay Street. Municipal Operations Director Jesse Rankin said the 2017 agreement—drafted by the village attorney and signed by the parties—required the residence to remain vacant until utilities were installed. Rankin reported the owner, Jason Hutter, recently installed pizza finishing equipment and applied for a conditional use permit, which makes the building non-vacant under the original agreement and triggers the connection requirement.
Rankin said he issued a letter giving Mr. Hutter 40 days to connect to village water and sewer in accordance with Village Code. Trustee Kay Zuleger moved to enforce the prior agreement; Trustee Matt Pleshek seconded the motion, which the board carried unanimously. The board’s action requires the owner to bring the property into compliance by connecting to utilities as specified in the 2017 agreement.
The action taken was enforcement of the existing agreement rather than initiation of new code changes. The transcript did not record any board member voting against or any conditions attached to the enforcement motion.
