Council approves $5.26 million contract for Campus Park Phase 2

Councilors asked whether major events such as Oktoberfest and the tree-lighting ceremony would be affected; staff said events will be relocated to the arena and other park locations if necessary and that the portable tree could be sited elsewhere. Councilors and the mayor reflected on Campus Park's history and community value; the clerk recorded roll-call votes and D28 was approved.
