The Carbon County Board of Commissioners approved awards for the Whole Home Repair Program following the June 18 bid opening. The board approved contracts for Mazzella Enterprises (multiple contracts: CL 132-2-137 bid $48,700.00; JP 70-6-137 bid $26,300.00; SR 49-17-137 bid $20,900.00; WB 67-6-137 bid $49,350.00), Reno Roofing, LLC (contract CB 58-11-137 bid $48,500.00), and Rarick's Coal, Fuel Oil and Propane, Inc. for plumbing contracts (JP 70-6-137 bid $13,000.00 and SR 49-17-137 bid $19,100.00).
Commissioner Rocky C. Ahner moved to award the contracts and Vice-Chairman Wayne E. Nothstein seconded; each motion passed with a unanimous board poll. The board also tabled award of contract GF 62-4-137 (general and electrical) until the July 23, 2026 meeting for further review, per a planning director request. The tabling was recorded as agenda item #26-469.
