Carbon County ratifies payroll and multiple check runs totaling millions

Commissioner Rocky C. Ahner moved to ratify the payroll and the motion was seconded by Vice-Chairman Wayne E. Nothstein; the board polled all "Yes."
The board approved a general-fund clearing account check run (check numbers 266823 through 266923) totaling $1,668,944.45 and a separate check run (check numbers 266924 through 267038) shown on the agenda as $4,888,888.02. The board also ratified an internet transfer of $220,000 listed as General Fund loan #2 to the Children & Youth fund dated June 30, 2026. Treasurer reports accepted at the meeting showed a General Fund SP NOW balance of $20,485,158.68 as of June 19, 2026 and $18,701,090.55 as of June 26, 2026.
Commissioners approved the motions by voice/vote recorded on the agenda (agenda items #26-458, #26-459, #26-460 and #26-461). The decisions were procedural approvals the board routinely completes as part of its financial oversight; no dissenting votes or further discussion were recorded.
