The Village of Bonduel authorized Director of Municipal Operations Jesse Rankin to negotiate a ground-lease payment with Verizon for colocating an additional antenna on the village’s existing cell tower.
Rankin told the board Verizon initially offered $500 per month for the colocation. Rankin asked permission to negotiate for an amount equal to what the village currently receives from US Cellular and to include annual percentage increases; the board approved the negotiation authorization and said any final agreement will return to the board for formal approval.
The authorization does not finalize terms or payments; it grants staff the ability to pursue negotiations with Verizon and seek parity with existing carrier payments.
