Bonduel board approves 2026 budget, opts to buy squad car in 2026

The Village of Bonduel Village Board approved its 2026 budget Oct. 8, voting to purchase a new squad car in 2026 rather than financing it over two years.
Kay Zuleger, speaking for the motion, moved to approve “option number two” for the 2026 budget; Andrew Court seconded and the motion carried. The board noted $150,000 in remaining proceeds from the 2020 and 2024 general-obligation bonds is available for Cedar Park playground equipment and that using those proceeds will not change the overall levy amount to taxpayers.
Board members discussed using cash on hand for certain projects and reviewed equipment and project funds before the vote. The decision sets the village’s spending plan for 2026 and commits the squad-car purchase to next year’s expenditures.
