At the start of the meeting Chair Andrews welcomed newly seated Commissioner Michael Cooper, who introduced himself to the commission and the audience. Cooper said he has lived in Upland since 2010, runs a downtown web‑marketing firm (CCS Interactive), co‑founded a financial startup in West Covina called Lendros, and serves on several local boards including the Historic Downtown Upland board, Upland Police Foundation and the Upland Chamber of Commerce (where he is treasurer). He said he is “excited to sink [his] teeth into the planning commission.”
Chair Andrews and fellow commissioners welcomed Cooper and thanked him for serving; Cooper later confirmed he had reviewed prior meeting materials as requested before participating in votes.
