The Historic Resources Preservation Board voted to approve HRPB 25-12700001, supporting an ad valorem preconstruction tax exemption tied to a previously approved new ±942 square-foot two-story two-car garage and pool at 425-427 S K Street. Senior Preservation Planner Anne Hamilton told the Board the new construction has not yet received a Certificate of Occupancy and that the Board will review the completed work against the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation before the City Commission and Property Appraiser consider the exemption.
Chair Robert D’ Arinzo moved to approve the request based on the competent substantial evidence in the staff report; the motion carried unanimously. Staff noted the next steps are full Board review of completed work, City Commission consideration of the exemption, and subsequent action by the Property Appraiser.
