Diana Ipe described practical workplace adjustments that support autistic employees: clear, direct communication, written instructions, advance notice when expectations change, and sensory-friendly spaces for breaks. "Can we think about how we can implement some of these things to better support and have an inclusive environment for everyone?" she asked.
Presenters also played a short video of adults on the spectrum describing strengths such as attention to detail and routine, and the hosts encouraged CDFA staff to consult internal accommodation resources and the ASK employee assistance resources listed on slide materials.
