Council approves Wenonah Lake Association events, several street closures for fall and holiday events

The Wenonah Borough Council approved multiple event permits and associated street closures on June 1.
Council voted to waive the lake admission fee for one hour on July 4 at 3 p.m. for anything that floats, and approved a song-and-dance event Sept. 19 (5–11 p.m.) and a Haunted Trail at Wenonah Lake on Oct. 24 (6:30–9:30 p.m.).
The council also approved a request to close streets for the Women’s Club turkey trot on Nov. 27 (the council discussed a typical start of 9 a.m. with closures around 8:30–11:30 a.m.) and a holiday market on Southeast Avenue on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a rain date of Dec. 6. Council asked organizers to confirm final times and logistics.
The motions were made, seconded and passed during the business portion of the meeting.
