Wenonah council approves grant resolutions, sets public hearing for two ordinances

Council members moved and seconded approval of Resolution 20 26 63 (certifying the 2025 annual audit), Resolution 20 26 64 (supporting a sustainable community grant with Atlantic City Electric) and Resolution 20 26 65 (authorizing submission of an NJDOT grant application for roadway improvements on South Princeton). The council also approved Resolution 20 26 66 to insert Chapter 159 Clean Communities funds of $7,287.27 into the borough budget.
"Motion to approve resolution 20 26 64 in support of approving the sustainable community grant with Atlantic City Electric," a council member said during the roll call process. The council voted by roll call on several items and recorded affirmative responses for the listed members.
Council approved Ordinance 20 26 11 on first reading, an amendment concerning residential development fees, and authorized a capital ordinance appropriation of $250,000 from a HUD grant as a first reading. The mayor announced that public hearings on both ordinances will be held at the next council meeting on July 23.
The meeting also included routine procedural actions—adopting the agenda, approving minutes from April 23 and a May 11 special meeting, and approving disbursements—followed by an open public-comment period.
