City Administrator Myers reported that the utility department has been working with homeowners to secure temporary easements for a sidewalk project and that one easement remained outstanding. After discussions with the Kansas Department of Transportation, Myers said the wording in the city's original Request for Qualifications may permit the city to use Schwab Eaton for inspection services without issuing a new RFQ; Myers was waiting on KDOT's determination.
The utility department reported related field work including moving a gas meter to accommodate the sidewalk project, relocating a pole down guy and completing most temporary easements. The minutes record coordination with Jon Day and that one easement remained to be completed.
