Finance Director Jill Lindhorst presented the June 30 finance report and requested ordinance F26-16 to appropriate $138,000 to the combined sewer separation fund. She reported total receipts for June of $4,810,545.57 and total expenses of $6,231,450.01, with a general fund unencumbered balance of $5,556,232.08. Lindhorst said year-to-date income tax receipts were down 1.74% compared with the prior year and that the city transferred specified income-tax portions to public streets and capital improvement funds.
City Administrator (name not stated) later summarized Rumpke solid-waste collections for January–June: roughly 2,981.51 tons of municipal solid waste and 428.26 tons of recycling in the period, with a one-week bulk-pickup cleanup of about 137.13 tons. Council members confirmed committee meetings for July 27 (recreation/public property and street sidewalks & sewers) to discuss mayor requests for legislation and other pending items.
