Board accepts city delegations and delegates Wetland Conservation Act authority to SWCD

Becky Buchholz, SWCD Senior Technician, presented resolutions from cities within Cottonwood County delegating Wetland Conservation Act authority to the county and asked the board to accept those delegations. The board adopted Resolution 26-07-07A to accept delegations from Windom, Bingham Lake, Mountain Lake, Westbrook Storden, Jeffers, and Comfrey by unanimous roll call vote.
Buchholz then explained that, because she is an SWCD employee rather than a county employee, the board also needed to delegate Wetland Conservation Act authority to the Soil and Water Conservation District. The board adopted Resolution 26-07-07B delegating that authority to Cottonwood SWCD by unanimous roll call vote. Both resolutions are on file in the County Coordinator’s office.
