Chaplain and state representative brief council; city clerk honored for five years

At the start of new business and presentations on Aug. 18, Chaplain George Bailey reported on training he attended at the Georgia Association of Law Enforcement conference in Warner Robins from Aug. 11-14, 2025, covering death notifications, human trafficking, stress management and ethics. He said he plans to participate in National Night Out in September to support officers and their families.
State Representative David Huddleston spoke about constituent services in the Hogansville area, citing specific efforts including arranging tree limb removal on Highway 154 and adding bus stop signs on Highway 54, and provided updates on larger infrastructure projects affecting the area.
City Manager Lisa Kelly recognized City Clerk LeAnn Lehigh for five years of service to the city. The presentations and recognition were added to the consent agenda by motion and approved 5-0.
