Roberts said the authority adjusted its approach to raise revenue while lowering county subsidy needs and adding contract and FTE resources to reduce compliance risk.
Residents raised concerns about high rates given Suwannee County's small customer base; Wayne Hanekah provided figures he said amounted to a $520,648 county contribution and cited an authority budget figure of about $4,000,379. Roberts said he will package and deliver detailed materials to county staff and the county manager in Columbia County for further review; commissioners said the board will consider the request in upcoming budget workshops and voting processes.
