Suwannee County awards two CDBG demolition-replacement home contracts to low qualified bidder

For the second property Fox reported the low qualified bid at $192,002.50. Fox and staff said that increased construction prices mean the grant-funded project must document board awareness when the low bid exceeds the HAP maximum; the federal grant still covers eligible costs and the board was advised there is no local liability for exceeding the HAP maximum provided the action is noted in the minutes. The board approved both awards by voice vote (5-0).
