Mrs. Libby presented a recommendation to engage Pulver Cove (through PCA Consulting) to provide furniture planning and procurement services for the new Career and Technical Education facility. She said the work would cover standard classroom and office furniture, common-area pieces and lockers but would exclude specialized instructional equipment such as welding machines and medical devices.
"Pulver Cove's fee would be 15% of the direct furniture, and locker costs," Mrs. Libby said, and she noted the proposal guarantees the total cost would not exceed cooperative purchasing prices. Staff emphasized that local vendors could compete for work and that specialized instructional equipment would be coordinated through industry partners or directly procured. The board discussed the approach and staff said the recommendation will come back for approval at the next board meeting.
