Committee approves Busey 3.5-acre lot split in Green Township with easement-recording condition

Mike described the Busey proposal as a 3.5-acre tract cut from the northwest corner of a larger parcel between 1000 North and 1100 North on Meridian Road. “This is a 3.5 acre tract cut out of the northwest corner... Mister Bussey is wanting to sell this parcel,” Mike said, describing the lot and the intended tile connection north to an existing tile.
Committee members questioned the status of an off-site easement for the tile. Mike said the neighboring owner will install the tile on his land and staff advised recording an easement with language to protect future use; staff emphasized that the easement must be recorded prior to recording the plat. “That has to be recorded prior to recording of the plat,” Mike stated. The Chair made a motion to approve with that condition; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
