Commission unanimously approves Kister three-lot subdivision in Cleveland; drainage to go to drainage board

Staff described the Kister application as a three-lot minor subdivision located just south off US 40 in the village of Cleveland and said the outstanding ownership transfer noted on the technical review has been finalized. “This is located out on US 40 in the little village of Cleveland right in that area,” the staff member said, noting the parcel is being divided into three lots.
A staff member raised a survey question about daylighting a drain into the right-of-way; another staff speaker explained a small ditch crossing 850 East is a county highway drain and that county highway (Gary) had agreed to allow drainage work. “Chad said, you know, that's county highway drain, so I need to talk with Gary about allowing us to use that for our drainage. I met with Gary, and he was fine with that,” the speaker said. The committee recorded a motion to approve the Kister subdivision and carried it unanimously by voice vote.
