The Humboldt County Behavioral Health Board on June 25 updated members on follow-up to transition-age youth (TAY) recommendations made six months earlier. Kelly Johnson said meeting logistics will remain on Zoom, that a board member will monitor the Zoom chat, and that "the meetings are being recorded and are posted on the BHB webpage."
Board members discussed outreach tools and onboarding supports: Johnson said business cards with QR codes and printed flyers have been distributed and are available on meeting tables, and a new member checklist and mentoring system are being used. Jess Weaver asked that the cards be placed next to monthly agendas to increase visibility. Natalie Arroyo encouraged a more active advisory role to the Board of Supervisors, noting the board’s remit in bylaws and CALBHBC resources.
