Commission approves three-season room at Longview, citing matching materials and minimal site disturbance

The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a proposal to add a three-season room to the rear of a house on Longview, with the applicant’s representative saying the addition will match the existing home's materials and trim and that no trees will be removed. Tony Sasso, who introduced himself to the commission as a retired builder from Madison supervising the project, told members the design uses “cedar select flat board and similar trim features that the house has.”

Commissioners asked for clearer elevation drawings and more detail on site access and facade calls before the full Planning & Zoning review. Members and the presenter discussed the pump access across a large rear field and a proposed partial replacement of an existing white fence to avoid damage during construction. After brief discussion the commission moved to approve the Longview application as presented; the motion carried and the applicant thanked members.
