Finance Officer Renee Baker presented quotes to outfit two new Dodge Durango police vehicles and recommended awarding the work to Guardian Fleet Safety based on an updated quote.
"Guardian did send us an updated quote at $18,822.23 per vehicle for a total of $37,644.46 for both units," Baker said, and noted an additional $400 for transport. The council approved the purchase as presented; the motion to award the quotes passed on roll call. Fleet manager Kenny Moore was present to answer technical questions but no further discussion altered the recommended award.
Staff said the outfitting covers police-specific equipment for the Durangos purchased in February; the vendor is new to the city but staff characterized the quote as favorable. Council recorded the roll call approval and the purchase will move forward under the city procurement process.
