The Perry Park Metropolitan District Board of Directors voted unanimously on Sept. 12 to authorize staff to negotiate with Dove Creek Forestry for fire-mitigation work after a recommendation from wildfire consultant Randal Johnson.
Director Joseph Brickweg introduced the proposals and, citing consultant advice, moved that the board proceed with negotiation provided the contract contains language preventing impermissible multi-year obligations and includes a guarantee on the three-year pricing the contractor submitted. Director Christian M. Warren seconded the motion; the board approved it unanimously.
Randal Johnson of Wildfire Risk Management, Ltd. presented the suite of proposals and recommended Dove Creek Forestry as the preferred contractor. The board’s action authorizes negotiation only; final contract approval was not taken at the Sept. 12 meeting. The motion was recorded in the meeting materials as M2024-09-12-04.
