Council consensus favored the more durable approach after discussing lifecycle concerns and future maintenance risk.
The council’s vote affirms the city’s earlier cost agreement for the project. The motion did not specify additional funding sources; council accepted the original contract amount as presented by SPN & Associates. The council did not schedule further action on funding contingencies at the meeting.
