The commission opened a public hearing on a petition from adjoining owners to vacate Crabtree Drive in District 2, which begins at Olinger Road and continues easterly for about 978 feet. Staff described the petition and asked whether there were comments; no members of the public testified in opposition and the hearing was closed for the record.
Commissioners subsequently approved the resolution to vacate Crabtree Drive after waiving formal reading. The clerk noted the item would be recorded and filed with the probate office.
Separately, staff presented a proposal to relocate polling precincts 3101, 3102 and 3103 from MAC Transportation (7080 Highway 79 South) to the Guntersville Recreation Center (1500 Sunset Drive) to better handle voter counts. Commissioners approved the relocation and directed staff to sign and file the required resolution with the probate office.
