Police, water and sewer updates: dog citation, well house controller work and degreaser application
Summary
City staff reported a dog-at-large citation, that Aesthetix Electric will work on a new well house controller (parts expected under warranty) and that degreaser had been applied systemwide in the sewer. The clerk also reported dog licensing and a leveled community garden.
At the June 18 meeting Prairie Home staff delivered routine operational updates: Police Chief Jacob Lauer said he issued a ticket for a dog at large. Drinking Water Operator Aj Wirts reported that Aesthetix Electric will be working on the new well house controller and that replacement parts should be covered by warranty; he said chlorine levels are expected to normalize when both wells are operating again. Wastewater Operator Joe Odneal reported he had placed degreaser throughout the sewer system; Mayor Jim Lachner reported on lagoon overflow levels.
City Clerk Mary Sue Fontana moved to accept the monthly financial report; the motion was seconded and passed. Fontana told the board that approximately 80 dogs have been licensed and about 25 remain to be licensed. She also reported that Walters Construction was able to level the community garden while in town for an unrelated project.
