Port Edwards staff outline $250,000 Legacy grant projects and scheduling for 2027

Martinson told trustees the village has received a $250,000 Legacy grant and summarized candidate projects intended for that funding, including repaving the bike trail from the fire station to the bunker, paving a road between baseball fields, dog park improvements, disc golf upgrades and finishing work around the playground.
He said he has the cost estimates used to apply for the grant but is waiting to verify that vendor quotes remain valid before scheduling the projects. "We've received the $250,000 from Legacy ... I'm just waiting to make sure that those numbers will be the same for 2027," Martinson said, and added some prep work this year could reduce costs for next year's construction.
