Union City’s council voted to approve a resolution supporting Erie County’s effort to develop a countywide comprehensive housing plan. The plan’s stated goals include improving quality and affordable housing across Erie County; funding for the county’s work will draw from the MAP grant and Act 137 (affordable-housing deed-transfer funds).
Council members noted several borough residents have applied for Act 137 funds, which are distributed based on income. The motion to approve the resolution was made by Councilor Osborn and seconded by Councilor Steadman; it passed unanimously.
