St. Johns County expands WeatherSTEM network for hyperlocal weather and cameras

"We were one of the first counties to work with WeatherSTEM," Wilson said, listing existing stations at the Emergency Operations Center, the Municipal Marina and Hastings Fire Station and saying two more stations will be installed soon in Fruit Cove and near Crescent Beach. She added the system includes cameras for public access and noted the South Ponte Vedra station at Fire Station 9 recently suffered a lightning strike and is being repaired.
Wilson encouraged residents to use WeatherSTEM Saint John's for localized wind and weather information, particularly for mariners and residents in rapidly changing coastal conditions.
