Police and school reaffirm SRO and crossing-guard agreement for next school year

Administrator Martinson told the committee he met with school administrators to confirm the SRO (school resource officer) and crossing-guard arrangements for the upcoming school year. "We met with, administrator Vina and principal Steltenpohl to discuss, SRO program from last year and the program for this year and the crossing guards," Martinson said, noting the village will keep the same payment and scheduling arrangements as the prior year and that the school made payments on time.
Martinson added that staff will continue to monitor the agreement and keep the village informed if adjustments are needed. The committee acknowledged the arrangement and did not object to maintaining the current cost-sharing approach for the coming school year.
