Superintendent Amy Fast told the board April 14 that staff would take additional time to develop calendar and bell schedule options and that no alternative calendars beyond the traditional option would be presented for board action that month. The delay was framed as allowing more thoughtful decision-making amid budget and staffing uncertainty.
Following discussion, Director Terri Paysinger moved to approve the 2026–2027 calendar option and Director Christopher Wytoski seconded; the motion passed 6–0. The board also approved a revised budget committee calendar on a 6–0 vote. The meeting record notes Teacher Appreciation Week is scheduled for May 4–8, 2026, and the next regular board meeting is set for May 12, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
