City Manager Eric Underwood told the Donald City Council on June 9 that this would be his final regular Council meeting; he said he will attend a Special City Council meeting on June 16 with the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments to discuss the process of replacing him. Underwood thanked the Council and said working for Donald had been a great experience.
Underwood also reported that Marion County had awarded a $20,000 Community Prosperity Grant to electrify the gazebo and upgrade Wi‑Fi and security cameras; the project is scheduled for completion by the end of June. He reminded Councilors they are mandatory reporters for suspected child abuse and noted that elections filing opened on June 3 with Administrative Assistant Linda Hansen as the point of contact.
