The City Council on June 9, 2026 approved a road closure permit for the Donald Daze Hazelnut Festival Committee, contingent on Marion County approval, and separately approved a closure requested by Donald Tavern to run Williams Street from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for a beer garden and entertainment during Donald Daze. The motions passed unanimously.
Public Works Director Alonso Limones will coordinate barricades for the Tavern permit. The festival committee permit remains contingent on approval by Marion County before closures can be implemented.
