"If somebody were to hack our data and hold our data for ransom, what would our process be to handle that?" the superintendent asked, explaining the policy purpose.
The superintendent said the policy and AR cover who will take responsibility for incident response, how the district will prevent incidents and what steps follow a violation, and the items are meant for board review as a first reading. Board members were asked to review the documents and bring questions to the second reading, at which time the board will consider approval.
