District proposes central office conversion to transition center and ADA upgrades across schools

Dr. Fisher said the referendum includes renovation work to convert central office space into a transition center serving 18‑ to 21‑year‑old students with disabilities and to create spaces that support independent living and workforce preparation. "We are looking to develop space for programming that addresses those particular needs," he said, explaining that the change is intended to reduce out‑of‑district placements and create local service capacity.
The plan also includes safety vestibules at all schools to strengthen visitor screening and ADA improvements such as elevators so family members and caregivers can attend events. District leaders said restoration of the high school auditorium and expansion of maker spaces will support inclusive programming and community access outside school hours.
