Chad, information-technology staff, told commissioners the county needed to perform a license true-up for Microsoft software used across county employees and that the immediate true-up with CDWG totals $17,585. He also presented a three-year renewal with SHI to cover enterprise Microsoft licenses at $343,385 per year.
Commissioners moved and seconded to add the SHI renewal to the July 23 consent agenda; the motion carried on voice vote. Chad said the renewal will allow the county to finish migrating off on-premises email servers and add mobile-device management included in the enterprise package.
