Board approves health-department septic-fee increase

Board members asked for clarification about what a "bed bottom" inspection entails and staff explained it is an inspection of the bottom of the excavation before a leach field is installed. The fee increase was presented as a modest adjustment to cover staff time for inspections and plan review; the measure took effect immediately upon the board's approval.
