Committee members were informed that PE-69 (along Lake Julia Rd in the Town of Pelican), retained historically as a possible Highway Department shop site, is under consideration for conveyance of a 4‑acre split to Northwoods Transit Connections. Barb Newman told the committee she had obtained committee approvals and that a Certified Survey Map has been completed and recorded to divide the requested 4 acres.
Newman has ordered an appraisal for the split parcel; the appraisal will assist in placing a market value on the parcel should the county move forward with a sale or conveyance. The committee discussion centered on next steps for valuation and whether the county should retain the remainder for future highway needs.
