Oneida County approves $668,344 NG9-1-1 GIS project; mapping services to be offline July 28

The Oneida County Land Records Committee on July 7 reviewed an approved capital improvement plan and budget alteration for the NG9-1-1 GIS project totaling $668,344.50. "The project is totaled at $668,344.50," Land Information staff member Sara Chiamulera told the committee, adding that $401,993.00 will be reimbursed by grants and $266,351.50 represents the county match and IT hardware/server costs.
Chiamulera said the Land Information Office will begin GIS software updates at the end of July and that the GIS mapping system will be taken offline on July 28 to implement the changes. The committee was not asked to take additional action at the meeting; staff will proceed with the updates and close out grant reimbursements upon project completion.
