Staff reported work with iWORKS to create an online permit workflow and said the town will host training for staff and county partners once the web forms are finalized. "I am building a web page on our site where all the building permits will be housed," the staff member said, describing automated routing to reviewers and customer notifications so applicants can track progress.
Trainings are planned to start in July and will include county reviewers and town staff; the goal is to reduce processing errors and speed up permit reviews. Staff said the new system will generate consistent records (who looked at a permit and when) and is expected to improve customer service for residents and contractors.
