Separately, council approved submitting a Small Rural & Tribal (SRT) grant application for body‑worn cameras ($20,000) that would cover roughly half the projected cost; staff said the remaining match would be planned in next year’s budget or financed over multiple years. The council also approved a reimbursement‑style $5,000 Humane Colorado grant to fund trap‑neuter‑release of feral cats and a $5,000 lodging‑tax grant for promotional and safety videos to support river put‑in marketing. Staff said the trap‑neuter grant is reimbursement based and will be managed through the animal shelter.
