The Richmond City Council designated Michael Mistravich as the city's official Michigan Municipal League (MML) representative to cast the city's vote at the league's annual meeting Oct. 7-9 in Traverse City.
City Manager (speaker 4) explained the annual meeting will convene to elect trustees and consider the MML's legislative principles. Council member (speaker 5) moved to designate Michael Mistravich as the city's voting representative; the motion was supported and passed by voice vote. Council discussed an alternate in case the primary designee cannot attend but did not name an alternate at the meeting.
One councilor noted Mistravich's participation on the Elected Officials Academy board as a reason he would attend; staff will communicate the designation to the league.
