Board approves mentoring, professional development and program agreements

The Toms River Regional School District Board of Education approved a package of routine administrative and program items, including the district mentoring plan and the state-mandated professional development plan for 2024–25. Clerk-led roll calls recorded affirmative votes for both measures.
The board also approved designated HIB specialists and applicable administrators, passed a resolution to establish a reserve for encumbrances, and authorized an agreement with the Ocean County vocational and performing arts program. A board member complimented the business office after the board approved the first reading of a refunding bond ordinance tied to prior school energy savings refunding bonds.
"With my compliments to the business office for finding these tax, these savings for us," one board member said after the refunding item was introduced. Several motions were handled by roll call and recorded as approved during the regular session.
