The Lindenwold Joint Land Use Board postponed consideration of JLUB-26-6, the variance application for 535 Chestnut Avenue filed by Elyse and Shania Quarles, after the board solicitor concluded the published notice did not adequately describe the variance requested.
Board Solicitor Michael A. Ierino told the board the published notice was insufficient to notify the public of “what type of variance” was being sought, and Chair Joseph Vandergrift then entertained a motion to postpone. Craig Wells moved to postpone, Councilwoman Hess seconded, and the board approved the postponement. No public comments were offered on the item at the meeting.
The postponement means the Quarles application will return to a future agenda only after corrected notice is published to meet public-notice requirements. The board did not take any substantive action on the variance at the May 28 meeting.
