Board approves district anti-bullying self-assessment; district reports drop in incidents

DeMeo described the process: each school's safety or climate team completed a self-assessment across eight core elements (programs, training, curricula, personnel and incident reporting/investigation), and documentation of compliance is maintained at the school level. Board members moved the resolution and roll-call votes were recorded as yes by the attending members.
During later public comment and discussion, the superintendent and board noted a downward trend in reported incidents and emphasized the district's ongoing work on prevention and interventions through school safety teams and social-emotional programming.
