The Toms River Regional School District purchasing agenda drew questions from board members over several line items, including a listing for Brett Dinovi and Associates. A board member asked whether the Brett Dinovi entry was for a professional development day; a district staff member replied that 'that's not for PD... Brett Dinovi provides us with staffing' and that the contracts support registered behavioral technicians (RBTs) at several schools, funded through Title programs and overseen by board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs).
Board members also asked about a quoted $17,000 line for gym-floor resurfacing at an intermediate school. Facilities staff said the district follows a rolling schedule to resurface a set number of schools each year, noting 'we have a schedule... a certain number of schools each year have the floor resurfaced.' The board requested clarification on recurring maintenance timelines; staff indicated they will continue to brief members as projects are scheduled.
